Five days off work, a group of mates who love speed, and countless tales to tell – this is life in the fast lane with a distinct Latino beat. You'll begin with a couple of nights in Miami, where we'd recommend Soho Beach House as your stylish art-deco pad.
Daytime is reserved for fun. First off you'll spend the morning with a former FBI agent who will teach you the skills required for deep cover operations from survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SEAR) to live firing sessions with machine guns, sniper rifles and high calibre weapons. After hanging out over a beer and being entertained by his spook stories, we've chartered a sailing yacht and invited a few locals to join you aboard for a sunset cruise Miami-style - a little sharpener for the evening ahead, when you'll have a private host take you out to Miami's most talked about bars, restaurants and clubs.
Next morning your Harley Davidsons will be delivered to your hotel, ready for you to jump on and make the 150-mile ride through the Florida Keys to Key West - one of America's great road trips. Stopping off for a lunch of conch fritters en route, you'll arrive in time for cold beers and blue crab cakes at Louie's Afterdeck before for a night's stay in the heart of the action at the chic Ocean Key resort. You'll enjoy southern hospitality at its best as you learn how to perfect your cocktail-making in the garden of Ernest Hemingway's former residence with a top mixologist before heading out with your host for a night on the town .
Next day is all about speed, as you boom across the Florida Straits in just ninety minutes to Havana in a Skater speedboat. If sea conditions are right, you'll have a good chance of being able to submit your names to the Guinness Book of Records. Once on Cuban soil, more Harleys will be waiting and you'll roll into Havana escorted by a flank of classic cars.
A suite at the beautiful Kempinski Manzana is your home while in Cuba, and over the next few days you'll have an action-packed time moving among Havana's inner circle. Go behind the scenes of Havana's crumbling mansions with a top Cuban architect, spar with an ex-Olympic boxing champion at storied gym La Vigia, peek under the hood of (and race if you wish) vintage American dragsters at the exclusive Havana Motor Club, and ride Harleys to Vinales with Che Guevara's son to hang out and smoke cigars with the godfather of Cuban cigars on his private tobacco estate. In between all this, you'll enjoy sommelier-led cigar tastings, the hottest clubs and restaurants and, on your last night, a very special hosted VIP private house dinner party with Cuba's creative movers and shakers, before hitting Havana's most happening salsa club to shake out your moves.
TAILOR-MAKE YOUR JOURNEY
If you prefer four wheels to two, let us know and we'll arrange this. Please note that crossing the Florida Straights in a Skater is only possible when sea conditions allow. Should conditions not be suitable, we can arrange a motor yacht or private jet for your crossing to Cuba.
We'd recommend travelling between December and June, with June offering the calmest sea conditions if you're tempted to break a world record.
